Therapy for High-Achieving Professionals and Mothers Who Carry a Lot — Quietly

MEET THE THERAPIST: MICHELLE INGROSSO, LMHC

Therapy can be a space to feel supported while navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and the invisible mental load that comes with high responsibility — at work and at home.

Many of the people I work with are successful, capable professionals and devoted mothers who are doing everything for everyone else, yet privately feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. My path to becoming a licensed therapist in Miami grew from recognizing that traditional therapy often misses the realities of high-functioning individuals whose standards are high, expectations are relentless, and time is limited.

You may look like you’re managing just fine. That doesn’t mean it feels that way on the inside.

What Makes My Approach Different

I blend clinical expertise with a real-world understanding of high-pressure environments — including leadership roles, demanding careers, and motherhood.

I’ve worked extensively with executives, entrepreneurs, attorneys, physicians, and high-functioning moms, and I understand how performance culture, caregiving, and perfectionism often overlap. Many of my clients are navigating both professional pressure and the emotional weight of parenting, often without enough support.

My approach is thoughtful, practical, and individualized. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we look at the whole picture — the person balancing ambition, responsibility, relationships, identity, and emotional well-being.

Therapy is designed around your reality. Whether you’re managing deadlines, school pickups, sleepless nights, or all of the above, our work adapts to your life — not the other way around.

I completed my undergraduate and graduate training at the University of Miami, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Science in Education in Mental Health Counseling.

MY CLINICAL FOCUS

My Clinical Focus

Strength Through Self-Awareness

Lasting change begins with awareness, not self-criticism.

I believe meaningful growth happens when you feel truly seen, understood, and supported — not judged or “fixed.” Therapy offers space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself beneath the roles you carry.

Together, we focus on creating insight and change that feel grounded, realistic, and sustainable — especially for women and mothers who are used to putting themselves last.

How I Help High-Achieving Professionals and Moms

Build Resilience Without Burning Out

You don’t have to choose between showing up for others and taking care of yourself. Therapy helps you build resilience that supports both success and well-being.

Reduce Anxiety, Guilt, and Mental Load

Many moms and professionals carry constant background anxiety and guilt — even during rest. We work to quiet that internal pressure and create more emotional breathing room.

Create Sustainable Patterns — at Work and at Home

The habits that helped you succeed may no longer support your current life stage. We identify what needs adjustment so your growth doesn’t come at the cost of exhaustion.

Reconnect With Your Identity Beyond Roles

Whether you’re a leader, a mother, or both, therapy can help you reconnect with who you are beneath expectations, productivity, and caregiving.
