You're Doing More Than Enough — Even When It Doesn't Feel Like It

Specialized therapy for new moms, overwhelmed moms, and working moms in Miami and throughout Florida

Motherhood can feel overwhelming in ways no one prepares you for. If you’re exhausted, anxious, emotionally overloaded, or feeling like you’ve lost yourself somewhere along the way — you’re not broken, and you’re not failing. You deserve support too.

Does this sound like you?

You love your child — but motherhood feels heavier than you expected.

Maybe you’re running on fumes, yet your mind never shuts off. You’re doing everything, but it still feels like it’s not enough. You might look “fine” on the outside, but inside you feel stretched thin, overwhelmed, and emotionally drained.

You might be nodding along if:

  • You’re exhausted, but slowing down feels impossible

  • Mom guilt follows you everywhere — even when you rest

  • You feel overstimulated, touched out, or emotionally depleted

  • You’ve lost your sense of self outside of being “mom”

  • You feel like you’re failing at everything, even when you’re trying your best

  • You have no time for yourself — and feel guilty when you do take it

These experiences are far more common than most moms admit out loud. And they don’t mean you’re weak, ungrateful, or doing motherhood “wrong.” They mean you’re human — and overwhelmed.

Who I help

Therapy for Every Kind of Mom

There’s no single way to struggle as a mom — and no single “right time” to ask for help. I work with moms at many different stages and life circumstances, including:

  • New moms navigating identity shifts, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm

  • Moms experiencing postpartum stress or anxiety, even months or years after birth

  • Working moms juggling career pressure, mental load, and family responsibilities

  • Stay-at-home moms feeling isolated, overstimulated, or unseen

  • Moms experiencing burnout, exhaustion, or emotional numbness

  • Moms who feel like they’ve “lost themselves” and want to reconnect with who they are

You don’t need a diagnosis, a crisis, or a breaking point to start therapy. If motherhood feels heavier than it should — that’s reason enough.

What To Expect

How I Help Overwhelmed Moms

Therapy isn’t about fixing you — because you’re not broken. It’s about giving you space to breathe, process, and feel supported in a way that’s actually sustainable.

In our work together, we focus on helping you:

  • Process overwhelm without judgment — no minimizing, no “at least…”

  • Release the guilt that constantly weighs you down

  • Set boundaries that protect your time, energy, and emotional capacity

  • Reconnect with your identity beyond motherhood

  • Develop realistic self-care that doesn’t become another to-do list

Sessions are collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your life. We go at your pace, focusing on what feels most pressing — whether that’s anxiety, burnout, emotional regulation, relationship stress, or simply having a space that’s just for you.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 10 years of experience supporting women through anxiety, life transitions, burnout, and emotional overwhelm — including the very real challenges that come with motherhood.

I understand how easy it is for moms to put themselves last. Many of the women I work with are high-functioning, capable, and deeply caring — yet privately struggling with anxiety, guilt, or feeling disconnected from themselves.

My approach is compassionate, practical, and flexible. Therapy with me is not rigid or overly clinical. It’s a space where you can show up exactly as you are — tired, emotional, unsure — and be met with understanding and support.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start. We’ll take it one step at a time, together.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Mom burnout is a state of emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion caused by prolonged stress and caregiving demands. It can show up as irritability, numbness, overwhelm, feeling disconnected, or constantly running on empty. Burnout doesn’t mean you don’t love your child — it means you’ve been carrying too much for too long without enough support.

  • There’s no “right” or “wrong” time. Many new moms benefit from therapy when they feel anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally disconnected, or unlike themselves after birth. You don’t need to wait until things feel unbearable. Early support can help you adjust, feel more grounded, and reduce long-term stress.

  • Yes — feeling overwhelmed is incredibly common, especially with the mental load, expectations, and lack of rest many moms experience. That said, common doesn’t mean you have to live with it. Therapy can help you understand what’s driving the overwhelm and support you in feeling more balanced and emotionally supported.

  • I work with moms experiencing a wide range of postpartum emotional challenges, including anxiety, stress, overwhelm, and depressive symptoms. If you’re unsure what you’re experiencing, we can explore it together and determine the best support for you.

  • Therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes. During our initial meetings, we will delve into the challenges that brought you to therapy, review your background, and define your goals. In subsequent sessions, we will concentrate on practical steps to achieve these goals. I'll introduce new skills, offer fresh perspectives, listen to you without judgment or expectations, and help you attune to your own voice.

  • It's difficult to provide a definitive answer on a general FAQs page, as each person's situation is unique. The length of time needed in counseling to achieve your goals depends on several factors, including your personal development desires, your level of commitment, and the specific reasons that have led you to seek therapy. Research suggests that most therapy clients feel improvement within 12-15 sessions, and I anticipate a similar timeline for most people. Some clients may feel well enough to graduate within that period, while others find value in continuing therapy as their lives evolve. My primary goal is to help you achieve your objectives as quickly as possible, and as long as counseling remains beneficial, I’ll be here to support you.

  • Reach out to schedule your free consultation. It's crucial that you feel at ease with your counselor, and I'll assist you in determining if I'm the right match for your needs.
